And then the rats came out.
Fighting for consciousness: stripped naked, locked overnight in solitary with blinding lights, no toilet paper allowed, there was no clock, but there was a thermometer on the wall outside to let you know it was less than 60°, the vents that blew cold air in, with what felt like the power of a race car and every moment, were, in fact, covered in black mold, black mold which is known to cause psychosis. We were now in a new, slightly warmer location to 'prepare for court', still divided in cages by sexuality, but in one larger room together. They gave us warm food.
The cell mates had clothes. With sleeves even. They had just belted me up in chains so my smock would stay closed since the velcro was still inoperable. My friend's arm was warm, and he made me feel safe so I fell asleep. I dont know what happened.
When I first saw the rats he told me "Those are not even the biggest ones." He told me that he had been locked in that same cage three times. Was anything he said true? I don't know. I do know police go undercover as inmates to catch 'good-cop' confessions.
I've drawn a diagram of the room to the best of my recollection:
Each of my gay cellmates had been in this cage, in the same attire as me before. So far in our investigation we have found no evidence of these rat-specific conditions for other person groups, regardless of religion.

I'll be honest, once I was in the cop car, I let myself have some fun. My birthday is May 2--it was supposed to be Cinco de Mayo🙄--so I have been told before (as a joke) that I am the answer to the Cult Prayer of May Day. So, since I was being driven around by the same cop that just tried to blow my head up on the front of a car driving 20+ m/h, here's a sample:
Then ofc, since they had an intercom in the Beverly Hills cell (soo boujee right, just like the plastic jumpsuit they gave me without underwear, since mine was tie string.) --add below)
Sleeping mostly, I would wake up, walk over to the intercom, and remind the listener, each time, "You have detained me and allowed both a rapist and a murderer to walk the streets--I hope your family is having a wonderful night on the town this evening." Something of that nature.
"I'm just doing my job, Sir" didn't save any Nazi, whom weren't preetty impressive scientists--AT LEAST.
"Chris survived, George, Chris survived," ensuring myself as I was curled in a tight ball underneath the tent I had made out of my stiff smock, both to stay warm and for fear of being injected in my sleep. Chris Mowrey was one of my favorite political influencers who often shares his experience checking himself into a mental health facility.
The black mold was likely getting to me at this point. It was a small room. A concrete bed shelf was aligned with a stacked, steel toilet/sink (yes, they could watch you poop), and there was just enough space for the walkway to get in.
The social medias had been covered for weeks in stories of prisoners being sent on flights, that returned from halfway-overseas with no prisoners. When I called my mom from the first facility she said she was leaving it to me to deal with. I didn't remember my grandma's number or any of my friends. I can't even be 100% confident how many facilities I was transfered to after that beause everything just happened so fast.
No one would even know I was gone, let alone run to the media like the families of the immigrants had. I would vanish like I never existed. No one would even say a word about it. Tell themselves I left THEM to be a vagrant like I always wanted.
What I do know is that at this point I was at a county facility for processing. I started doing pushups to pass the time. Eventually a 'mental health professional' came to chat, in which my response to: "How are you feeling right now?"; was: "Well I'm pretty annoyed right now, since you people keep locking me up." That was a reference to a previous police encounter where my EV battery had died just around the corner from my house, and right as I had finished charging it just enough with a battery from my solar panels I had run to retreive from up the street, a cop arrived to assault and detain me. (put the map hahaha)
Without having that context in the moment, she decided immediately that my response was enough to check me into the mental health facilty.
CLANG CLANG CLANG What looked like a pair of nurses or a doctor perhaps had approached with a small tray.
"Your pills, Sir"
"What pills"
"These are the pills we have prescribed for you."
"I don't want any pills."
"You don't have to take them if you don't want to..." Four times, at least, they offered me pills before they sent me to the rat cage.
Unbeknownst to myself, the strike had begun!

In the ambulance, on the way to the "mental health, exit facility" was where I first heard of the the strike. I was supposed to spend three days in this final facility. Exodus Recovery - Eastside Urgent Care Center.

Dark out, the facility was on 'nighttime protocol', what is the difference, I am unaware. We all were assigned large, cushy, black, leather chairs--covered in blankets--not allowed to stand. Two connected rooms with the worker's desk in the middle, seperated by gender.
A medium TV mounted on the wall had a show lighting the room, about a judge in Georgia who was making plans to run for Governor.
Yet to personally circle back and watch that so far...
SO! The confusing part was on the other side of the chamber... an older lady, maybe 60's or 70's, petite, long straight grey hair but it was fluffy, we all had matching hospital gowns, she kept standing up and walking around, arguing with the nurses--no docotor (a typo but funny "docotor, Miiisstor Docotor" lol you know Dracula or Zoidberg or something) was on call, as I was informed. She was making lots of sexual remarks and gestures.
Security came and took her down the hall, there was no doors to the hall, we had to go through there to use the restroom.
He beat her, repeatly. She taunted him. There was a sexual exchange. All of this audible from the room with all of us including the nurses. The 'patients' were deeper into the room than the nurses, the nurses were right next to the hallway.
He came around after to taunt each of us and threaten us to remain seated. I said: "I heard what you did." He responded: "And I'll do the same thing to you."
I stayed silent, not for fear of violence, but because I was afraid they would keep me here longer, or worse, take me deeper again. I just kept writing the word "P O S I T I V E" on the back of my head to stay sane, and remind myself it could be worse.

The doctor saw me immediately in his office upon his arrival, he had seen my website explained in our short discussion.
Set free in the crotch of the 5 and 10 Freeways, crotch exposed of course. I had been released in the plastic jumpsuit, gifted in Beverly Hills. I did have a t-shirt! My underwear, pants, and remaining clothes were still locked up in the Beverly Hills Police Station.
Thankfully they did send me with my phone charger which was actually very nice, but mostly was just a reminder that they could have sent the underwear with the string since they sent the metal wired phone plug.
I will confess: once I had retreived the belongings I could from the police, which did not include my handmade sign or my staff, or my stick from my smaller sign. Don't worry, I had spare clothes AND TOILET PAPER in my car so I walked in looking fresh af ( I also had soap and towels haha): I did go on a shopping Spree.
I had been wanting to try this place for sooo long, and it did not disappoint. I'm only disspointed in myself for continuing to be so poor!
I did recieve a text that morning from an aquaintence I met at a protest who had heard of my arrest. That shook me back to the reality that I am a very loud and regionally known protester. My fear of airplanes, could be their's too. So I knew I had to do the rounds.
And by 7pm, the strike was over.

Not depicted was my hometown protest in Rancho Cucamonga! It was Corona's first protest that day!! ALL DAY! They were grilling on the front lawn of their city hall. I went on the way and on the way back! haha
That night I posted an event on the Democrat event platform I still had access to, a May the 4th Picnic in the park to preceed the protest around the corner. Sent it to my contact list.
Was not spent with my family.
This was my last day of protest, I had done my work. Finding a beautiful grove of pines at the park, I set my towel up on a concrete surface for the sewer. I laid out my free wares, snacks, pamplets, t-shirt paint supplies to pimp your gear. Without much sleep the night before, I decided to lay down for a moment on a towel which is when I noticed that the beautiful pine grove had an entire understory, dead, covered in spider webs. I had a crunchy, brown roof.
My head dropped to the pamplets and the one red pamplet just wouldn't unlock my gaze "STOP THE BLEED"
I covered my head with my pancho and cried there, alone in the park.
Hearing footsteps approach, I lifted my face covering to see if I had a guest, and what I saw was just a baby boy, no more than five. The spitting image of myself, the image I've linked is the closest I can get. I'm sure I could search all of the internet.
